ASMBS and Bariatric Clinical Guidelines

  • Gastric Bypass (RYGB/RNY), Sleeve Gastrectomy (VSG/SG), and Duodenal Switch (DS) patients are recommended to take a high potency multi-vitamin that contains selenium and magnesium.
  • Quality absorbable form of nutrients should be used after bariatric surgery due to the absorption challenges of bariatric patients.

Does the job... not without issues.

I like that these aren’t especially large capsules, which is great. However, they smell absolutely horrid. I wish they could put some kind of good tasting coating on the outside that masked the smell so that they were easier to take.

Life Saver

I did the chewable for a long time and I was so happy to be able to switch to these in capsule form. I was concerned about swallowing, water etc... But it goes down quite smooth, and I don’t notice any decrease in energy as the capsules are extremely quick dissolve. Important to note, that in general, I require very little liquid to take pills. If you require a lot of fluids to swallow ... than this probably would not be right for you in my opinion. Only real drawback is the smell of the pill, it’s quite potent for me but honestly, not much different than the chewable. At least with this you don’t have the extreme taste, aftertaste and chalky residue...

Can't handle the smell

After one week I wasn't able to keep taking them because of the smell! Worse than any other I've tried and I seemed to burp the smell for an hour or so afterwards ;(

Amazing!

I love these so much better than the 3 daily multi-vitamins. Its one SINGLE pill to take in the morning. No weird after taste, nothing really bad to say about this.
